It's about to become a reality; the Queen City is about to have its very own indie craft show. But let's not get ahead of ourselves, we want to tell you about where this idea came from. After participating in amazing regional shows such as The Little Craft Show in Fayetteville, AR and The Hip Handmade Market in Joplin, MO, we decided our hometown of Springfield was lacking an outlet for area makers to show off their talents. Who is we? We are Brittany and Summer of Culture Flock Clothing and Kendra of Kwanalee Art. We're southwest Missouri natives and we are just a small part of Springfield's vibrant creative community.
Knowing that supporting local interests is so important to Springfieldians, we knew there was no better time to showcase local artists, makers and creatives than on "Small Business Saturday" - the day that encourages people in communities all over the US to support the independent shop down the street, rather than the big box store.
We want you to come spend the day with us and over 25 other local and regional makers as you find the perfect gift for yourself or someone else. Enjoy local food and beverages while you browse a unique selection of handcrafted products. We can't wait to see you there.
