From the smallest detail to the biggest plans for QCCS, it's all about community. We, as artists and makers are part of our own small community. Springfield's vibrant downtown has a very tight-knit community, and of course the Queen City is known as a community that supports its residents and businesses like no other. Believing in and loving our community is what inspired us to make sure this event could not only be a fun activity for all involved, but also makes a positive impact locally. We are so proud to announce that we've partnered with Rescue One, a local no-kill animal rescue group that helps homeless pets, no matter their age, breed, or ease of placement. We want to not only raise awareness about pet adoption in the Ozarks, we're also raising money! The Queen City Craft Show will be charging a small admission fee of $4 for adults (children under 12 get in free), with half the proceeds going to Rescue One to help them pay for veterinary care, spaying and neutering, food, and general needs of their adoptable pets. The admission fee also includes free non-alcoholic beverages for all attendees, along with locally-produced alcohol sampling by Missouri Spirits.
Just a reminder, our applications are open until midnight on August 31st, so if you or someone you know is interested in applying, time is running out!
