Applications for 2017 are open through August 31
WHO WE ARE
Queen City Craft Show is an annual indie-craft show taking place in downtown Springfield, Missouri. The show will be held on November 25th, 2017 (AKA “Small Business Saturday”) from 10am - 5pm. QCCS began in 2015 with the idea of encouraging folks to step away from the box store or the mall and have a unique shopping experience with local and regional artists and makers. There is a small admission fee at the door that gives shoppers free non-alcoholic beverages at the event, while food and alcoholic beverages are available for purchase throughout the day. Half of our admission fee goes to local animal group, Rescue One to help pay for the the rescue, care, and medical needs of homeless pets in southwest Missouri.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
QCCS is not your traditional craft show. We're looking for modern & contemporary crafters, artists, or makers who create and/or design their own original and unique merchandise. Check out our 2016 vendors to get an idea of our aesthetic. Vendors are expected to transform their booth space from a blank slate to a stylish and functional shopping space, in return we provide a great way to show off your products to a large and diverse audience! Springfield is home to a vibrant arts community and has been extremely supportive of the event - last year's attendance was over 1,400.
Keep in mind, this is an indie-craft show, so we will not be accepting vendors from direct sales companies (examples: Mary Kay, Pampered Chef, etc.) QCCS isn't a business expo either, so we are not accepting vendors promoting local services. We do, however, have sponsorship opportunities for businesses looking to expand their audience.
THE APPLICATION PROCESS
We want to know about you, what you create, and what you'd like to sell at our show. Our application will give you an area to describe your work and provide links to your website or social media. Presentation definitely matters, so show us your best stuff! Once you’ve completed the application, you'll click our PayPal link to pay our $15 application fee. This fee is non-refundable and helps us to cover some of the expenses that go along with putting on our event. We cannot consider applicants that don’t complete the payment for our application fee. Non-refundable application fees are standard with indie markets and craft shows, but we do our best to keep our fees low. Thanks for your understanding!

We've got 2 types of booth spaces available:
10ft x 10ft booth: $150
5ft(W) x 7ft(L) booth: $100
Applications will be open through August 31st. Once the application period closes, we do not accept additional applications, sorry!
We will be accepting a limited number of food vendors, so if you make something delicious we'd love to know more about you. Click on the FOOD tab above to apply.
THE JURY PROCESS
Once the application period closes, all applications will be reviewed by a jury. We accept a limited number of makers from each medium to ensure that our show has a wide variety of vendors and items available. Simply put, we can’t have too many makers that create the same type of product. We are looking for originality, craftsmanship, presentation, and style. We wish it were possible to accept all of our applications, however please remember, applying doesn’t guarantee you a spot at our show - we receive more applications than we can accept and must work within the size/context of our venue. We will be notifying vendors of the status of their application by September 15th via email.
If chosen to participate, we'll send you an invoice for payment of your booth fee. We do not collect a portion of your sales at the show, but you will be expected to charge, report, and pay applicable Missouri Sales Tax and secure the necessary licenses to participate. Don't worry - we'll help you get all the information you need.
WAIT LISTS & CANCELLATIONS
In some cases, vendors that have been chosen for our show may be unable to attend. We will be putting together a list of “wait list” vendors for each medium/product type. If a vendor drops out, we will contact another applicant from our wait list to offer them the available booth space. You will be notified if your application is part of our wait list by September 15th.
Please read our boring, yet important Participation Agreement below before submitting your application. By applying to our show, you are agreeing to our terms and conditions for participation. If selected to be a vendor, you will be asked to sign this agreement and it will be kept on file.
